URI Maya is essentially the student association (Fachverein) for students of Pre-Columbian Studies, Latin American Studies, and related linguistic or historical disciplines at the University of Zurich (UZH). For an Erstie (freshman), this group is the primary bridge between daunting lecture halls and a supportive social circle.
