Carlo (Christian De Sica) is on vacation with his second wife, Susanna (Barbara Tabita). His plans for a peaceful holiday are ruined when he encounters his brother Giorgio (Max Tortora) and his wife Marta (Serena Autieri), who happens to be Carlo's first wife. Misunderstandings and past grudges lead them into a series of financial and personal disasters involving counterfeit money.
