An excellent, open-source professional media player used in VFX and animation. It is completely free and supports frame-accurate playback and many professional formats.

Cracks often modify the core executable files of an application. This frequently leads to random crashes, corrupted video exports, and "bugs" that don't exist in the official version. For a professional animator, a crash during a deadline is far more expensive than a license fee.

While not built for animation, you can enable "Frame by Frame" stepping (using the 'e' key) for basic review.
