The story follows (Riteish Deshmukh), a humble rickshaw driver whose life savings are lost when his boss, Bhatti (Tinnu Anand), sells his rickshaws. While confronting Bhatti during his daughter Mini's (Genelia D'Souza) engagement, Viren inadvertently provides Mini with the perfect escape from her unwanted marriage.
Mini "kidnaps" herself with Viren’s help, demanding a ransom from her father that they plan to split. As they flee through the scenic landscapes of North India, they eventually end up at Viren’s ancestral home, where their pretend kidnapping turns into real love.
